Dental Aesthetics

What is dental aesthetics?

Caries and worn, discolored, broken, crooked, small/short and irregular teeth as well as malformed, asymmetrical and crowded teeth negatively affect the aesthetics of a smile. There can also be cosmetic problems that cannot be treated with fillings alone. Crowns fused to certain types of metallic or non-metallic ceramic or zirconia imperial crowns can be used here. In other cases, laminates can be used to treat cosmetic problems on the outer surface of the teeth. In the case of diastema (spaces between the teeth), a new aesthetic smile can be designed with special aesthetic fillings, in which the teeth do not have to be trimmed.

Cosmetic dental treatments also include orthodontics, teeth whitening, composite fillings (with white light), implants and laser treatments.

Aesthetic dentistry  not only deals with the aesthetics of the teeth, but also with discolored, deformed and receding gums, the shape of the mouth and the general appearance of the oral cavity. Then your dentist can work  with gum specialists, dermatologists, and plastic surgeons to give your mouth and face a more aesthetic look. These aesthetic treatments have a positive effect on the mental health and social life of the patient.
