CAD/CAM Technology
How does CAD/CAM technology work?
Dentistry continues to get easier because to technology advancements and innovations, much as other areas of life. When using computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM), a patient needs to see their dentist for fewer appointments to get beautiful, brand-new teeth and less plaque buildup.
After the teeth have been cleaned and prepped for restoration, a digital scanner is used to map your teeth. This information is then entered onto a computer, which accurately produces the laminates, crowns, etc. that are required in 30 minutes.
Given the level of accuracy CAD/CAM provides, spaces between teeth can be repaired successfully and extremely cosmetically in just one session.
